AIChE Introduces Some of Its Recently Elected Fellows
The rank of Fellow is AIChE鈥檚 highest grade of membership and is achieved only through election by the Board of Directors. Candidates for AIChE Fellow are nominated by their peers, and must have significant chemical engineering experience (generally 25 years), have demonstrated significant service to the profession, and have been a member of AIChE for at least 10 years. Here are some of the recently elected Fellows. More Fellows will be introduced in future issues of CEP.
Bruce D. Bullough is recognized for his work in the recombination of radiolytically formed hydrogen with oxygen, air pollution control, industrial boiler optimization, piping design, and process safety management (PSM). He has contributed to processes and equipment used in recovery after the Three Mile Island nuclear incident; reductions in VOC emissions from magnetic data storage media production; and the mass-production of lipids used in the COVID vaccine. A Center for 91成人短视频 Process Safety (CCPS) Certified Professional, he served on the CCPS Technical Steering Committee and contributed to CCPS projects, including the 鈥淗andbook for Process Safety in Laboratories and Pilot Plants.鈥
Greg Nesmith is the global risk leader at Dow, where he also leads process safety learning 鈥 creating and managing process safety content globally. He has more than 35 years of experience in the chemicals industry, with over 17 years in process safety management. He also conducts complex systems analyses for clients who are managing facility risk and assesses the potential risks 鈥 and potential solutions 鈥 offered by new technologies such as drones, robotics, and electronic devices in hazardous locations. Among many activities, he is involved with CCPS鈥檚 Undergraduate Education Committee and Safety and 91成人短视频 Engineering Education (SAChE).
