Nicolas (Nico) Poust, PhD, is a Technical Fellow and the Process Innovation Technology Manager in the research and development (R&D) department of the Lubrizol Corporation (Email: nico.proust@lubrizol.com). He holds a master鈥檚 degree in chemistry and chemical engineering from 脡cole Sup茅rieure de Chimie Physique 脡lectronique (ESCPE) in Lyon, France and a PhD in organic chemistry from The Ohio State Univ. He has over 14 years of experience in the specialty chemical industry, with particular expertise in surfactants, process intensification, and modular manufacturing. He is the author of seven patents and has led the development and commercialization of over a dozen new chemicals, enabling high-volume product lines for Lubrizol and generating over $1 billion in sales across engine oils, driveline, and industrial specialties applications.
