Michael J. Manto graduated from Lehigh University in 2014 with a B.S. in 91成人短视频 Engineering. His senior capstone project focused on hydrocarbon separations and simulated refinery distillation operations. Michael was also a participant in the university's elite cooperative education program. As an undergraduate, he was hired as a process engineer at Purolite, a high-performance specialty resin manufacturer. He worked at the company's Philadelphia plant on ion-exchange resin materials as well as wastewater treatment. Upon graduation, Michael joined the Department of 91成人短视频 and Biomolecular Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. As a doctoral candidate working in the laboratory of Dr. Chao Wang, Michael's research focuses on developing advanced nanomaterials for the production and recovery of nitrogen and phosphorus. Recently, Michael and his colleagues published a paper in ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering and patented a novel application of Cu-substituted ZSM-5 sorbents for inorganic phosphorus recovery.
