Kevin Klein, P.E., is an Instrumented Protective System (IPS) subject matter expert (SME) at Chevron, a member of the ISA84 and IEC61511 committees, chair of the ISA84 workgroup 鈥淔unctional Safety: Low Integrity Safety Layers,鈥� and an ISA Fellow. He focuses on IPS design and technology development. He holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from Valparaiso Univ. and has 44 years of experience in the chemical and oil and gas industries.
