Dr. Jonathan Olson received a PhD in Physics from Louisiana State University in 2016 and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University in quantum computing and machine learning. In his scientific career, he developed nearly a dozen different quantum algorithms and experimental architectures, including quantum autoencoders and quantum optical neural networks. In 2018, he cofounded a startup quantum software company, Zapata Computing, which focused on the deployment of classical and quantum AI software for enterprises. While at Zapata, the need for the company to have IP expertise caused him to shift his focus into a legal role, pursing the path of a patent attorney, and leading Zapata to the creation of one of the largest portfolios of quantum software patents in the world. He is now Senior Counsel at Young Basile and part of the Quantum Economic Development Consortium鈥檚 Quantum Law TAC.
