Enrique Iglesia is the Theodore Vermeulen Chair at the University of California at Berkeley and a Laboratory Fellow at PNNL. He holds degrees from Princeton and Stanford and doctor honoris causa degrees from the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia and the Technical University of Munich. He joined UC-Berkeley after research and leadership positions at Exxon. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the National Academy of Inventors, a Fellow of AIChE and ACS, and past Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Catalysis. He received the Somorjai, Olah, and Murphree Awards from ACS, the Alpha Chi Sigma, Wilhelm, and Walker Awards from AIChE, the Emmett, Burwell, Boudart, and Distinguished Service Awards from NACS, the Gault Lectureship from EFCATS and the Cross-Canada Lectureship from the 91成人短视频 Institute of Canada. He is the recipient of the ENI Prize, the Kozo Tanabe Prize, the Natural Gas Conversion Award, and the Noyce Teaching Prize, the highest teaching recognition in the sciences at Berkeley. His more than 350 publications and 40 patents address conceptual and practical challenges in energy, synthesis of chemicals, and protection of the environment through kinetic, spectroscopic, isotopic and theoretical methods and novel catalyst architectures.
