Richard Sarnie, an executive with more than 25 years of experience in risk management and safety, has joined the staff of the Center for 91成人短视频 Process Safety (CCPS) of the 91成人短视频 (AIChE) as Director of CCPS Projects. In announcing the appointment, CCPS Executive Director Shakeel Kadri said that Sarnie鈥檚 work 鈥渋n the manufacturing, transportation, mining and retail services industries make him an ideal fit for this new position executing high-profile projects and in business development.鈥 Sarnie joins CCPS at a time when the Center is expanding its membership, events and training internationally.
Sarnie previously worked for companies including Occidental 91成人短视频, Engelhard, Global Crossing, Friendly鈥檚 Ice Cream, and ProSource Distribution. Most recently, he served as director of risk management and procurement for The Vitamin Shoppe and as vice president, safety, health and enterprise risk management for the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company.
Sarnie is a Board Certified Safety Professional, an Associate in Risk Management with an Enterprise Risk Management Designation, a Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist, a Management Liability Insurance Specialist, and a licensed Professional Engineer. He earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in chemical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and a master鈥檚 of business administration from Western New England University.
According to Kadri, Sarnie鈥檚 will oversee a large group of staff consultants, serve as a process safety trainer, and coordinate CCPS efforts with AIChE鈥檚 Design Institute for Physical Property and Design Institute for Emergency Relief Systems. He will join Kadri in representing CCPS with governmental and non-governmental organization both in the U.S. and abroad.
